Roughly translated to "footwear town", Paposh Nagar is a Karachi neighborhood known for its footwear and leather workshops popular during the 1950s-70s.

It's also notable for a teaching hospital called Abbasi Shaheed, and mainly houses Muhajirs. Urdu speaking people who migrated to Pakistan during the 1947 Partition

Also worth noting - this is my dad's childhood neighborhood :-) Some of my earliest memories of Pakistan take place here.
